Opening of the photographic exhibition
was commenced by the greetings of Yalovyi Volodymyr Borysovych Deputy Secretary General of The Verkhovna Rada
of Ukraine Secretariate and Tretiak Kyrylo Olehovych, Secretary of
the Ukrainian Part of the Inter-Parliamentary Liaison Office of The Verkhovna
Rada of Ukraine Secretariate. They expressed gratitude to the leaders and
coordinators of the Program for the successful cooperation and also emphasised
the high level of the Program participants´ preparation.
The Program of trainings in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine was opened in 1995 on the common initiative of the Association of the Former Members of USA Congress and the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. From November 2009 the administration of the Program of training transferred to the Program of the Assistance to the Parliament of Ukraine by Indiana University and from September 2008 Program of the development of the legislative policy that is conducted by Ohio University. For 15 years the Program is supported by the USA Agency for International Development. Coordination partner of the Program is the Inter-Parliamentary Liaison Office of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Secretariate.
During 15 years of the Program existence more than 1011 interns participated in the program, the majority of them found their work in the state power and local self-government bodies.
